Terms & Conditions Rainbow Lagoon

​Exclusive Private Hire 

This is an unmanned pool with no lifeguard, therefore all persons swim at their own risk.
Rainbow Lagoon will not be held liable for any accidents, injury or death.
For everyone's safety and security CCTV is in operation.
The depth of the pool is 1.2 meters throughout.
Lone swimming is not permitted, a minimum of 2 adults is required, even if only one swimming.

An adult in the group should always carry a phone, in an emergency use it to call 999. A defibrillator is located outside Dents Factory.
 

Private Hire sessions are for a maximum of 8 persons, excluding babies in arms. The following Adult to Child Swim ratio is recommended;

Age 0-5 must be accompanied on a one to one basis
Age 6-8 must be accompanied on a one to two basis
Age 9-15 may swim unaccompanied IF confident swimmers.


We strongly recommend that any child who is not a confident swimmer be accompanied on a one to one basis. Horse Play, Running, Bombing and Diving is not permitted. We operate positive swim rules please do take note of these on site.
The First Aid kit and accident book is located in reception. All accidents must be written in the accident book and Rainbow Lagoon must be notified as soon as possible, via telephone or email.


Any damages must be reported to Rainbow Lagoon as soon as possible.
Any damages will be charged and/or users being banned. The minimum damage charge is £50 however this does not have an upper limit as it depends on the actual damage.
Rainbow Lagoon holds no responsibility for anyone's personal belongings.
Inflatables/Swimming aids are permitted but strictly no hard objects.
Any child that has not been fully potty trained for 6 weeks must be in a double nappy system; this consists of a disposable or reusable nappy AND a neoprene nappy cover. You can then wear any kind of swimwear on top. All nappies including swim nappies must be taken home.
Footwear & socks must be removed in reception and not worn anywhere else in the building.
Food and Drink must not be consumed in the changing rooms or swimming pool area.
All swimmers must shower BEFORE entering the pool.

Please be considerate to other pool users and leave all areas how you would like to find them.
We politely request you to use the mops to wipe the changing room floors; squeegee the pool deck before leaving.

 

The light switch is on the right hand side of the reception by the vending machine and has three switches, upstairs, downstairs and pool. Please make sure you turn the lights off when you leave. The switch to operate the pool internal lights is located on the shower wall.
 

If you would like to use the disco lights, they can be used via the remote on the shower wall.  Please DO NOT take the remote in the water.

Fire exit is the main front door; In the event of a fire the assembly point is the car park.
 

Private hire sessions are non-refundable / transferable. 

 

Your booking is a strict hour block that includes all changing and cleaning up after yourselves. 
Please only enter the building at the start of your session time and ensure you are leaving before the end of your session time. Do not allow others to follow you into the building, everyone MUST enter their code into the key lock to gain access.


For the Door key please see your invoice / email for your designated code to access the key.
The key lock will open releasing the key on a tether to open and lock the front door.
Please put the key to the right hand side of the unit to allow it to open and shut easily.
If the unit is clicking to unlock but will not release, press and hold in above the numbers as you type your code in and this should allow the lock to open.
If the pool is in use on your arrival you may not need to unlock but we ask you to lock the door on exit never leaving the site unsecured.

Upstairs Zen Den is open to the community, users will have their own codes and directions on usage. Zen Den users will not be entering the pool hall - they may access the toilet.

Exercise Sessions - GP / Physio Sessions

Our Classes start from £8.00 (correct at the time of publishing) details of the sessions available are most readily available on our social media pages, or please drop us a message. We run a weekly - fortnightly booking service where you can book as often as you wish with no commitments. All sessions MUST be booked online and are non-refundable or transferable.
These sessions are self led and motivated, please speak to your GP or physio for exercises and guidance. We provide the pool and some equipment.

​You must be over the age of 18 to book onto the sessions unless otherwise agreed. Children over the age of 12 years can join an adult in a class. Their own space must be booked. 

You must complete a PAR-Questionnaire before you book on to any of the sessions that Rainbow Aquatics offers. By completing a PAR-Questionnaire you confirm to us that you have no known condition or are undergoing any treatment that would prevent you from being capable of physical exercise in all material aspects. Please complete the PARQ & Waiver.

On booking any session and every time you enter Rainbow Lagoon during your booked session, you confirm to Rainbow Lagoon that you have no medical conditions known to you that would mean that you are not capable of all forms of exercise and that such exercise will not be detrimental to your health. If in doubt, it is your sole responsibility to consult a medical professional.

Payments, Fees and Refunds

Payments are due within 24 hours of booking OR three hours before the start of the session whichever is soonest.


Sessions are non-refundable or transferable under any circumstances.

All fees and charges are subject to periodic increases and we reserve the right to change the costs of our services at any point. 

We book weekly to ensure you have the most flexibility in your personal commitments.

Cancellation Policy

If a class is cancelled by us the session will be credited to the client automatically. This will come of your next booking at the checkout.

Cancellation / Removal by us

We may cancel any booking without notice if you commit a material breach of this agreement including, but not limited to, a breach of club rules, abuse or threatening behaviour or vandalism or other illegal activity.

We may cancel any booking without notice if any fees or charges remain unpaid 2 days after the session was booked.

We reserve the right to cancel any class, if an instructor is unable to attend a session due to unavoidable circumstances. A credit will be added to your account.


Data Collection

In the course of your booking at Rainbow Lagoon we may collect certain personal information from you including personal details and details about your health. We will use this information for purposes including managing your bookings and contacting you. You will always be given the opportunity to opt out of such communications by getting in touch with us. You have the duty of keeping your personal information up to date and to inform us if you have any significant changes.  We will limit the access to the processing of personal information to our employees and management who may require its use for marketing or other services.

We reserve the right to take photos of our facilities (which may include you, unless you wish to opt out which you can do at times when photos are being taken) for press and other promotional uses.

Health commitment statement

Your health is your own responsibility, however our commitment to you:​​

We will make every reasonable effort to make sure that our exercise facilities are in a safe condition for you to use.

We will take all reasonable steps to make sure all our staff are qualified to the fitness industry standards set out by the register of exercise professionals.

We will respect your own personal decisions. You do not have any obligation to follow what our instructors advise you to do. We will however ask you not to exercise beyond what we think are your own abilities.

Your commitment to us (expected)

You should always exercise in a safe manor. You should exercise to your own abilities. If you are concerned or know that you may have a medical condition that may affect your training before you use our facility you should seek medical advice prior to starting an exercise programme or session. If you feel ill when using our facility you should let us know immediately.  Our instructors are not doctors but are first aid qualified.

If you have a disability you must follow any reasonable instruction to allow you to train in a safe environment.

You should make yourself aware of any rules or instructions within the facility. There are risks when exercising. You should not undertake any exercises that you have been told are not suitable for you.

This statement is a guide only. It does not represent a legally binding agreement between you and us and does not create any obligations that you or we have to meet.

We expect everyone to treat one another with respect, open-mindedness and compassion; we do not tolerate any form of bullying, derogative comments / remarks or ill behaviour.

TERMS & CONDITIONS – THE ZEN DEN

 

General

By booking, attending, or using The Zen Den, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

The Zen Den is a wellness and relaxation facility offering treatments, therapies, workshops, classes, sauna sessions, meditation, yoga, sound healing, and other well being activities.

All activities and use of facilities are undertaken entirely at your own risk.

Rainbow Lagoon Ltd and The Zen Den accept no responsibility for any injury, accident, illness, loss, damage, or personal harm arising from participation in any activity or use of the facilities, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

All guests must follow instructions provided by staff, therapists, practitioners, facilitators, and displayed safety notices at all times.

CCTV is in operation in communal areas for security and safety purposes.

 

Health & Well being

Participation in activities and treatments is voluntary.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically fit and able to participate in any session, treatment, workshop, class, sauna session, yoga session, meditation session, or therapy offered at The Zen Den.

You must inform your therapist, practitioner, or facilitator of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, pregnancy, medications, or health concerns before your session begins.

If you are unsure whether an activity is suitable for you, you should seek advice from a qualified medical professional before attending.

The Zen Den reserves the right to refuse participation where it is considered unsafe to do so.

Sauna & Wellness Facilities

All users must follow the safety guidelines displayed within the facility.

Anyone feeling unwell, dizzy, faint, overheated, or uncomfortable must leave the sauna or activity immediately and inform a member of staff.

Alcohol, recreational drugs, and intoxication are strictly prohibited before or during the use of any Zen Den facilities.

Guests are encouraged to remain hydrated before and after sauna sessions.

The Zen Den reserves the right to refuse access to any guest whose health or condition may present a risk to themselves or others.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult unless attending a designated supervised session.

Sessions, Workshops & Treatments

Please arrive promptly for your booking.

Late arrival may result in a reduced session time and no refund will be provided.

Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards staff, therapists, practitioners, facilitators, and fellow guests.

Any disruptive, abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the premises without refund.

The Zen Den reserves the right to amend, substitute, postpone, or cancel sessions where necessary.

Personal Property

All personal belongings are brought onto the premises entirely at the owner’s risk.

The Zen Den accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property while attending the premises.

Guests are advised not to bring valuable items unless necessary.

Damage to Property

Any damage caused to equipment, furnishings, décor, fixtures, fittings, or facilities must be reported immediately.

Guests may be held financially responsible for repair or replacement costs arising from negligence, misuse, reckless behaviour, or deliberate damage.

Bookings & Payments

Full payment may be required at the time of booking.

Bookings are only confirmed once payment has been received.

Prices may be changed without notice, although confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed rate.

Cancellations & Refunds

Bookings for treatments, classes, workshops, events, and private sessions are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Where at least 48 hours’ notice is provided, management may offer a transfer to another available session at its discretion.

Failure to attend a booking will be treated as a cancellation and no refund or transfer will be offered.

If The Zen Den cancels a session due to circumstances within its control, an alternative booking, credit, or refund may be offered.

The Zen Den cannot be held responsible for cancellations caused by severe weather, power outages, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Room Hire & Visiting Practitioners

Practitioners hiring or using The Zen Den are responsible for maintaining appropriate qualifications, registrations, certifications, and insurance relevant to their services.

Practitioners remain fully responsible for the care, treatment, and management of their own clients.

The Zen Den accepts no liability for services provided by independent practitioners.

The Zen Den reserves the right to terminate room hire arrangements where these terms are breached.

Photography & Recording

Photography, video recording, and audio recording must respect the privacy of other guests.

No photographs or recordings of other guests may be taken without their express consent.

The Zen Den may occasionally take photographs for promotional purposes. Permission will always be sought before any identifiable images are used.

Right to Refuse Entry

The Zen Den reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any person from the premises without refund where:

  • Health and safety may be compromised.

  • These Terms & Conditions are breached.

  • Behaviour is disruptive, abusive, threatening, or inappropriate.

  • Instructions from staff are ignored.

  • A guest is believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Zen Den and Rainbow Lagoon Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, injury, damage, or expense arising from the use of the facilities, attendance at sessions, or participation in activities.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
